About Gowlings

Your local flooring experts since 1978

M.J. Gowling Ltd. was founded over twenty years ago in Towcester, a market town in Northamptonshire, England. Martin Gowling had the idea of opening a business a little different from the average carpet retailer. His vision was a company that worked more closely with the potential customer, creating a better working relationship throughout the sale, so that the customer feels more important.

It is the company’s primary concern to treat the customer with respect and give them as much useful information about the work they require at the best possible price. The aim was quite simple. To offer a reliable, efficient, friendly service to the public with excellent value for money.

This is still our aim today.

Our latest deals and new product ranges

Twenty??? years since our launch we are still the most successful flooring retailer in our district, with many of our original customers still using our flooring services. We have expanded through a number of local properties and locations and now have many more areas of experience and expertise within the company.

We are currently located on the main A5 Watling Street in Towcester. Our current premises are in an old chapel which we have converted into our showroom, retaining many of the original features.

A major part of the success of M.J. Gowling Ltd is our Contract Division. We are proud suppliers to many national builders in the Midlands including Persimmon Homes, Bloor Homes, Bryants and others. We have also diversified into supplying an excellent range of beds both to the public and contract bedding markets.
